Natural Cuiosity

Today, rooms 103, 102 and 214 will be focusing on writing their ideas down.  Using the prompts "I Wonder, I think, I know", the children will be supported through writing their ideas and then posting them on our wonder wall.  Let's hope it leads to an exciting inquiry and lots of thinking and learning.

Tuesday February 17th

I am hoping to go out side today with the children so we can take pictures for our Nature I Spy books.  It is currently -12 and feels like -15.  I will only take the children outside if the windchill goes above -14.

Think warm thoughts so we can get outside today.

Adventure Time

On Tuesday, we will have our first Adventure Time of the year together.  Rooms 209, 102, 212 and 214 will be coming outside with me.  Each class will begin the process to make a Nature I Spy book.  The children will "spy" things in nature and we will take pictures that will be turned into a book as the week goes on.  This weekend, when you are outside, ask your children what they see, draw their attention to things they don't notice.  Play I Spy with them, even if you are trapped inside by the extreme cold.

Winter Walk Day

Tomorrow is Winter Walk Day (Feb. 4).  Bundle up and go for a walk as a family.

It's pouring snow

The sad part about today is that it is too cold to go out to play in the snow.  Let's hope it is warmer tomorrow so we can enjoy the wonders of nature.
